Frequently Asked Questions | FAQs

My solar lights aren't turning on at night...what's going on?

Tip #1: Please make sure to check that your solar lights are placed in areas that have access to sunlight. Be sure to keep them away from shaded patios, underneath trees, or behind pillars. Instead, try to place them in well-lit planters, exterior walls, or walkways.

Tip #2: If your panels used to work but are no longer working, it's possible that there may be some dust covering the top of the panel. Some of our customers notice that there might be some dust buildup after some light rainfall, which can affect how the panels charge during the day. Simply grab a damp rag and wipe the panels.

Will my solar lights work on cloudy days?

In most cases, yes! Our solar Solar lights need daylight (not pure sunlight) in order to charge for the day.

How do you replace battery and what type of battery does it take?

Batteries inside the solar lights cannot be replaced, as they are enclosed in the lights for waterproofing. The batteries automatically recharge during the day, but if you notice that they aren't charging, make sure the switched to the ON position.

Please note that opening the housing of the solar light will nullify the warranty.

Should battery be removed for long term storage?

No, for long term storage just turn the unit to the “off” setting. When you want to use again make sure to fully charge the solar light before your first use.

How do I change the bulbs in my solar lights?

The LED light bulbs in all of our solar lights are not replaceable, please note that opening the housing of the solar light will nullify the warranty.

Additional Tips & Troubleshooting

  • You will want to place the solar light in an area that receives full direct sunlight (at least 5-6 hours) to the solar panel during the day and keep away from other lights such as porch lights as the lighting from other sources can prevent the solar light from automatically illuminating.
  • How to tell if the light on – Simply cover the solar panel with your hand or place the solar light in a dark place and it will light up. If it doesn’t charge for 5-6 hours, then test again.
  • Please note: The performance of the solar light is dependent on the geographical location, weather conditions and seasonal sunlight. On cloudy days and during winter, the solar panel will not receive as much direct sunlight resulting in reduces brightness and operating time.
