I live in Central Fl so solar is the way to go. This light is luminous & stays on all night. I've had it for nearly 2 months & it comes on, even if we haven't had sun in days. This is a more substantial size & weight since it's metal. I have mine on a little table right outside the screened door facing south. Just took the dog out at 7am & it was still lit after a night of thunderstorms.
First of all this is not a bright, security light. It's more of a mood light to enhance or provide low-level light to help you navigate in dark areas. It was very easy to install, works as advertised and I love the way it looks.
I was actually pretty impressed with this design. Great look for the cost and the Edison style bulb is one of my favorites. I was a little concerned that where I was installing the unit wouldnt get enough sun, but no issues on Low staying on all night.I am only using this light to light some steps that lead down to the driveway. I didnt want to have to run power to that location and there was nothing nearby to light the way. Perfect solution!I tested on High and it stayed on through the night for the first week, but I found it was a little too bright and not subtle like I wanted, so low is fine. It would be nice if a sensor would activate to high if it sensed movement, but not a big deal and wasnt expecting one to work for it either.Overall, would get another one, great product, made of metal and not cheap plastic. Looks like the finish will hold up to a few seasons easily. Nice.
I’m so in love with this light! It came with mounting screws and an Edison bulb. It’s very easy to assemble.The light is very stylish and gives plenty of light. It is light weight, but has a good quality to the metal. Definitely recommend it.
This is a very cute little light to add some brightness to your outdoor space. I love the fact that it is solar. However I ended up using this mainly in my sunroom when the sun goes down. It lights up the room just enough so it’s not pitch dark at night. Best part it’s got an on and off button. I just wish it was on the outside instead of on the underneath top of the light. But still very assessable to access.
